Why it matters
The strategic question is whether the firm can reconstruct an answer’s evidence path, control what the system may reach and keep the supporting service dependable. Those are linked responsibilities across data, technology, risk and the business—not separate workstreams.
What to do
Choose one AI-assisted decision or research workflow. Trace its approved sources, permissions, retrieval path, human challenge and fallback if the provider or route fails. Then test one material assumption in a customer or market disclosure. If the evidence cannot be reproduced quickly, the control is not ready for scale.
